Breast Maggots

One day in tumblr, there was this picture that really caught my attention. it was a breast with gray spots on it. I know that it was just "photoshopped" but when I read the caption, it was about maggots living in the breast. I experienced goosebumps while reading more information about it. I reblogged it and my followers said that it was really disgusting and gross.

Here's the picture
WASH GARMENTS BEFORE WEARING

  • Please share with as many women and men that you know.
  • Please make it a habit to wash your just purchased undergarments before wearing them. This is sensitive.
  • Our undergarments are made in different parts of the world, sit in boxes and go through many hands and exchanges before we purchase them for ourselves.
  • All please wash all bras, underwear and other cloths when you buy before wearing them. We do not know what parasite is in our clothes when we buy them.

Read the article first before looking at the picture and film

After anthropologist Susan McKinley came back home from an expedition in South America, she noticed a very strange rash on her left breast. Nobody knew what it was and she quickly dismissed it believing that the holes would leave in time.

Upon her return she decided to see a doctor after she started developing intense pains. The doctor, not knowing the exact severity of the disease, gave her antibiotics and special creams. As time lapsed the pain did not subside and her left breast became more inflamed and started to bleed.

She decided to bandage her sores however as Susan’s pain grew more intense she decided to seek help from a more certified doctor. Dr. Lynch could not diagnose the infection and told Susan to seek the aid of one of his colleagues who specialized in dermatology whom was sadly on vacation. She waited for two weeks and finally was able to react the dermatologist.

Sadly, a life-changing event was about to unfold during her appointment.
To Miss McKinley’s surprise, after she removed the bandages, they found larva growing and squirming within the pores and sores of her breast.

After that very moment, I couldn't still get over it. I even shared it on Facebook. They said the same comments about how disgusting it was. I've seen the picture for about a hundred times but I could still feel my hair standing watching it.

When my English Teacher told us to do a research paper about any topic, I immediately thought of submitting a research about those breast maggots, While surfing the web, I came up with this video.

So enjoy! :)

World Teachers Day! October 5, 2010

Since i am the student council president of our school, I was told to deliver a short message for the teachers.. I am not really a good speaker but i tried my best to be a good one :) all of these were from the bottom of my heart....

Good afternoon. Today, we are celebrating the World Teachers’ Day.  This is to honor teachers who play a critical role in guiding and in providing us students a life-long learning which is one of the basic rights of children. And despite facing various obstacles that test their creativity and patience, they steadfastly stand by their commitment to give their mentoring best. This occasion allows us to acknowledge the unique role teachers play in guiding families, strengthening societies and building nations. So let us be grateful with the efforts of our modern-day heroes.

I would like to encourage every student to say "Thank you" to at least one teacher who has made a difference in your life. Saying "thank you" is just our simple way of giving back to our teachers who have touched our lives in one way or another. If we consider our Overseas Filipino Workers as our modern-day heroes, we should also do the same to our teachers. We should have a "Mother's Day" type of celebration but in a grander scale.

In connection with this occasion, the supreme student government conducted this short program to honor you teachers! We prepared different presentations that we wish could make you smile.

I wanna end this short talk in a quote from a book I read, Tuesday's with Morrie by Mitch Albom.. It says, "A teacher affects eternity. He can never tell where his influence stops."

So once again, THANK YOU TEACHERS. Continue nurturing every person's mind and character. We, SALUTE YOU!
